Dream a Dozen is an online bakery, specialising in gifting and celebrations. We have two major type of clients – individuals and corporates. For individuals, we cater to birthdays, anniversaries or any milestone celebrations. For corporates – we do logo branded cupcakes, cakes, gift hampers, etc.  

We are a women centric organisation that believes in bringing the best out of the team by allowing them to play to their strengths. 1. Business Development Executive (full time & on-site role):

We are a women-led and women-centric business with big dreams of expanding globally one day, and we need a passionate and driven individual to help us achieve our goals.

As a BD executive, you will work closely with our sales team to identify new business opportunities, build relationships with customers and drive growth. You will learn about our products, our customers, our sales process and will have the opportunity to contribute to our sales strategy and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify new business opportunities and potential corporate clients
  • Reach out to potential customers via email, phone, and social media to introduce Dream a Dozen and our products
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing customers to drive repeat business
  • Assist in creating and implementing sales strategies and initiatives
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Attend corporate meetings and contribute to sales discussions

Additional Details:

1. This is a full-time position, 5.5 days/week.
2. We are looking for a fresher who joins us as an intern for the first 3 months and will have the opportunity to convert into a permanent team member on the completion of the internship.

2. Chief of Staff (full time & on-site role):

We're looking for a Chief of Staff with a passion for baked goods and a creative mindset to join our team and work as a right hand to our CEO while building our company! As the Chief of Staff, you'll work closely with the leaders of each department in our women-led team to help us achieve our goal of becoming a global brand. 

Your main responsibilities will include: 

Strategic Planning: Collaborating with the CEO and leadership team to develop long-term plans, forecasts and budgets for the business, including expansion opportunities and new product development. 

Operational Efficiency: Streamlining processes and ensuring that our bakery runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis. This includes overseeing supply chain management, optimizing production workflows, and managing inventory. 

Team Management: Developing and managing a high-performing team that's aligned with our mission and values. This includes recruiting and training new team members, setting performance goals and metrics, and fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture. 

Marketing and Branding: Working with our marketing team to develop and execute effective campaigns that build brand awareness and drive sales. You'll help us tell the story of our brand and products in a way that resonates with our customers and potential clients. 

Business Development: Identifying new business opportunities and partnerships that can help us grow and expand our reach. You'll stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitors, and proactively seek out new avenues for growth.

3. Kitchen Manager (full-time & on-site):

Are you a culinary superstar with a passion for people and pastries? Do you have experience managing a team? If so, we want you to join our team as our Kitchen Manager at Dream a Dozen!

Your main responsibilities will include:

Managing our Operations Team: You'll be responsible for leading our operations, which includes overseeing the kitchen team,delivery team, customer service team, and logistics. You'll ensure that everyone is working together seamlessly to provide the best possible service to our customers.

Inventory Management: You'll be responsible for managing our inventory, ensuring that we always have the ingredients and supplies we need to create our delicious treats.

Recipe Costing: You'll work closely with our team to cost out our recipes, ensuring that we're pricing our products appropriately to meet our financial goals. 

Recipe Trials: You'll work with our chef to develop new recipes and test them in our kitchen. You'll be responsible for ensuring that our recipes are consistently delicious and that they meet our high standards for quality. 

Kitchen Safety and Hygiene: You'll create processes and protocols for ensuring that our kitchen is safe and hygienic. You’ll ensure that all team members are trained in food safety and that we're following best practices at all times.

Kitchen Training Manuals: You'll develop training manuals and materials to ensure that all team members are properly trained on our kitchen processes and procedures to ensure the least wastage, best use of our equipment and most efficient use of time.

Qualifications:

  • Culinary degree or hospitality degree or equivalent experience 
  • Flexibility of working hours and a deep-rooted understanding of the hospitality industry
  • A detail-oriented attitude and a hands-on approach to work with the team 
  • The ability to inspire others to work hard and leading by example
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Comfortable with excel sheets and checklists
  • Knowledge of inventory management and recipe costing

Looking for a talented, passionate and creative sous chef to join our team at Dream a Dozen, a cloud bakery where the sky is the limit! We are looking for someone who loves to dream big and has a natural talent for turning those dreams into delicious, mouth-watering baked goods. 

Your role will be to lead our kitchen staff with enthusiasm and energy, ensuring that everyone is working together seamlessly to produce the best-baked goods.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning seasonal and festive menus and developing new recipes that will excite our customers
  • Manage and coordinate the kitchen staff, including assigning tasks and supervising work
  • Ensure that all baked goods are prepared according to recipes and are of the highest quality
  • Perform regular quality checks to maintain our high standards
  • Keep all kitchen equipment properly maintained and in good working order
  • Monitor inventory levels of food and kitchen supplies and place orders as needed
  • Ensure that all kitchen safety and sanitation standards are followed
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff, providing feedback and coaching as needed

Dream a Dozen, an online bakery specializing in cakes, cupcakes, brownies, and more for individuals and corporate clients, is seeking a pastry chef intern to join our team. We are a women-led and women-centric business with big dreams of expanding globally one day, and we need a talented and enthusiastic pastry chef to help us achieve our goals.

As a pastry chef intern, you will work closely with our chefs to assist in baking, cake decoration, and packaging. You will learn about our products, our customers, and our production process, and will have the opportunity to contribute to our pastry recipes and designs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the production of sponges, cupcakes, cheesecakes, brownies, and other baked goods for individual and corporate orders
  • Tort, layer, and finish cakes for our website and custom orders with simple customization
  • Assist in creating and testing new recipes
  • Help maintain inventory and cleanliness of the kitchen
  • Package finished products for shipping or delivery
  • Participate in brainstorming and planning sessions for new products and designs

Requirements:

  • Passion for baking and pastry
