Dream a Dozen is an online bakery, specialising in gifting and celebrations. We have two major type of clients – individuals and corporates. For individuals, we cater to birthdays, anniversaries or any milestone celebrations. For corporates – we do logo branded cupcakes, cakes, gift hampers, etc. 

We are a women centric organisation that believes in bringing the best out of the team by allowing them to play to their strengths. We have a fast-paced work culture that keeps us all on our toes to keep pushing out creative offerings for our customers but at the same time keeping an environment where each team member can be the best version of themselves.

1. Corporate Sales Executive:

Are you a people enthusiast? Can you create new business opportunities? Are you result oriented?

If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! Dream a Dozen, an online bakery specializing in gifting and celebrations for corporate clients, is seeking a corporate sales executive to join our team.

We are looking for hustlers like ourselves, who will go an extra mile to build a meaningful business at scale.

Having worked with over 200 companies in the last 6 years, we are looking to onboard more clients and drive more business from the existing ones.

As a BD executive, you will work closely with our sales team to identify new business opportunities, build relationships with customers and drive growth. You will learn about our products, our customers, our sales process and will have the opportunity to contribute to our sales strategy and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Seek new corporate clients, meet with them, do a sampling of our products and close future orders
  • Research and identify new business opportunities and potential corporate clients 
  • Reach out to potential customers via email, phone, and social media to introduce Dream a Dozen and our products
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing customers to drive repeat business
  • Creating options for the customer's requirements while maintaining gross margins
Requirements:
  • An outgoing personality and a passion for interacting with new people 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a result oriented attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable exploring options in the form of tools, software or social media for faster result
  • Comfortable working with numbers, knows the basics of Excel and has good email writing skills
Additional Details:
  1. This is a full-time position, in office, 5.5 days/week.

2. Pastry Intern:

Dream a Dozen, an online bakery specializing in cakes, cupcakes, brownies, and more for individuals and corporate clients, is seeking a pastry chef intern to join our team. We are a women-led and women-centric business with big dreams of expanding globally one day, and we need a talented and enthusiastic pastry chef to help us achieve our goals.

As a pastry chef intern, you will work closely with our chefs to assist in baking, cake decoration, and packaging. You will learn about our products, our customers, and our production process, and will have the opportunity to contribute to our pastry recipes and designs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the production of sponges, cupcakes, cheesecakes, brownies, and other baked goods for individual and corporate orders
  • Tort, layer, and finish cakes for our website and custom orders with simple customization
  • Assist in creating and testing new recipes
  • Help maintain inventory and cleanliness of the kitchen
  • Package finished products for shipping or delivery
  • Participate in brainstorming and planning sessions for new products and designs

Requirements:

  • Passion for baking and pastry
  • A degree or diploma in hospitality or pastry is not necessary, but preferred
  • Basic knowledge of baking techniques and recipes
  • Creativity and attention to detail in cake decoration
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

 3. Dispatch Coordinator and Inventory Manager:

Dream a Dozen, an online bakery specializing in cakes, cupcakes, brownies, and more for individuals and corporate clients, is seeking a dispatch coordination and inventory manager to join our team. We are a women-led and women-centric business with big dreams of expanding globally one day, and we need a talented and enthusiastic dispatch coordinator to help us achieve our goals.

In this role, you will be a part of the operations team and helps in coordination of deliveries through all the different modes as well as coordination with all vendors for procurement of inventory. 

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Delivery Coordination: Understanding the operations of different platforms like porter, Icarry, etc in integration with our existing systems to sync with the kitchen team and customers while ensuring all orders are reaching before the promised time.
  • Inventory Ordering: Placing the order requirement with the different platforms through which we are ordering inventory like Zomato hyperpure, metro, amazon and local vendors.
  • Inventory Management: Forecasting the requirement, checking the receipt of items against indent given and re-ordering as per requirements.
  • Vendor Management: Finding the best quality, rates and payment terms with vendors for ease of operations.
  • Record Keeping: Organised maintenance of bills and payments to vendors.

Pre-requisites:

  1. Basic understanding of Kannada and English
  2. Basic understanding of excel
  3. Ability to operate a smart phone with ease
  4. Basic understanding of Bangalore’s geography and routes
  5. Understanding maths and ability to negotiate the best rate for the business

           4. Executive Assistant:

          An executive assistant has the potential to act as a true business partner to the founder, helping them focus on critical priorities by effective time and task management. You will get an inside view on the growth of a fast paced, boot strapped business. 

          Responsibilities:

          • Admin Tasks: Calendar management, drafting and proofreading contracts/licenses, follow ups within teams and vendor management,
          • Strategic Planning: Collaborating with the CEO and leadership team to develop long-term plans, forecasts and budgets for the business, including expansion opportunities and new product development.
          • Operational Efficiency: Streamlining processes and ensuring that our bakery runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis. This includes overseeing supply chain management, optimizing production workflows, and managing inventory.
          • Team Management: Developing and managing a high-performing team that's aligned with our mission and values. This includes recruiting and training new team members, setting performance goals and metrics, and fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture. 

          Pre-requisites:

          1. Prompt Reporting/Good Communication is must have skill
          2. Open to general workplace tasks, inside or outside office as required
          3. Strong organisational and time-management skills, with a result oriented attitude
          4. Ability to manage high pressure situations

                  5. Human Resource Intern:

                  We're looking for an HR Intern with a taste for talent and a passion for pastries to join our team at our online bakery! You'll work closely with our women-led team to help us find and attract the best talent for our business.

                  Your main responsibilities will include:

                  • Sourcing and Screening Candidates: Using a variety of methods to identify and attract top talent, including job postings, social media, referrals, and networking. You'll review resumes and applications, conduct phone and video interviews, and assess candidates for culture fit and job qualifications. These will be for kitchen roles including chefs as well as corporate roles.
                  • First Round of Interviews: Conducting initial interviews with candidates to assess their skills, experience, and fit for the role. You'll provide feedback and recommendations to the hiring manager and help move candidates through the hiring process.
                  • Background Checks: Conducting background and reference checks and verifying employment and educational histories to ensure that candidates meet our standards and requirements.

                  Qualifications:

                  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, commerce or related field
                  • Experience in a small business is preferred but freshers are welcome to apply
                  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
                  • Passion for people and building relationships
                  • Comfortable with technology and social media platforms
